PTC specializes in state wide Florida product approval (including Miami Dade HVHZ) as well as Texas Department of Insurance approvals, which is required to sell your products along the Texas coast.
FL product approval process: We will review your test reports to prepare anchor calculations and drawings to ensure current FBC compliance. The FL committee meets around every 8 weeks to review and approve products submitted before the deadline. Please review our FL deadline page for the next upcoming cycle. MD product approval process: We will review your test reports to prepare anchor calculations and drawings to ensure current FBC compliance. The Miami Dade process takes a little while longer for review and it's suggested that when we submit your product for approval that the expedited method is chosen. This will cost a little more but can also mean that you could get your NOA months sooner. The expedited method will be charged directly to you by Miami Dade and runs between $300.00 and $500.00. The typical submittal fee for a Miami Dade product is between $1,500.00 and $4,000.00.
TX product approval process: This process is the longest of them all, and it usually takes around 6 months for a response from Texas. However there are no fees directly paid to Texas for their review. Based on your approval needs, the submittal package is usually pretty simple. However if you deviate from how the product was tested at all, installation details and calculations will need to be completed.
We will go the extra mile to ensure your product(s) are submitted in a timely manner, and follow your product(s) all the way through the approval process until you have a product approval.
